McAllister

Patrick McAllister, age 93, of Grandview, passed away on Wednesday, August 31, 2011, at his home. Patrick was the second oldest of 15 children born to James and Catherine McAllister. A devout Catholic, he graduated from Aquinas High School in 1935 and served his country in the South Pacific during World War II. He loved his country and his Irish heritage. He was a charter member of the Shamrock Club; also a member of the Ancient Order of Hibernians, American Legion, International Brotherhood of Carpenters, and the Knights of Columbus. He was a daily fixture at morning Mass at Our Lady of Victory Church and afternoon visits to Johnny's Glenn Avenue Grille to "get the news." Patrick was preceded in death by his wife of 66 years Lucille. He is survived by his children, Kathy (Tim) Richardson, Mary (Terry) Burns, Patty (Jack) Snyder, Lucy (John) Winters, and James (Shirley) McAllister; grandchildren Anne Richardson-Huber (Russ), Tim (Krista) Richardson, Maggie (Matt) Gilmore, Patrick (Amy) Burns, Kevin (Kyla) Burns, Joel Snyder, Colleen Snyder, John Winters, Katie (Regan) Koivisto, Charlie Winters, Molly Winters, Thomas Winters, Jesse Winters, Patrick McAllister and Sean McAllister; nine great-grandchildren; also survived by his brother, Jerry; sisters, Ruth, Rose Bigler, Jean McFadden and Judy Dennison; and many nieces and nephews. Friends may call FRIDAY, September 2 , 2011 at the John Quint Treboni Funeral Home, 1177 W. Fifth Avenue, from 4:00 p.m., to 7:00 p.m., with a Prayer Service at 6:45 p.m. Funeral Mass 10:00 a.m., SATURDAY, September 3 at Our Lady of Victory Catholic Church, 1559 Roxbury Road. Entombment to follow at Saint Joseph Cemetery, Lockbourne, Ohio.
