Michael Francis Coady, born October 21,1957 died November 6, 2022 at age 65.
He is preceded in death by parents Richard Joseph and Sally Ann Baker Coady; brothers Patrick Joseph and John Richard.
Survived by brothers Brian Edward (Patricia), Kevin Patrick (Theresa), Timothy Martin (Melanie), and sister Colleen Marie Pema (Robert); daughter Margaret Rose Gillard (Evan), four sons, James Francis II, Thomas Clarence, Richard Joseph II, and Sean Patrick and their Mother, Anne Elizabeth Shea; two grandchildren, Emily Grace and Lita Gail; several nieces and nephews, along with their children.
Michael attended Christ the King elementary school from 1st through 8 th grade, then St. Charles Preparatory School for high school, then graduated from The Ohio State University, earning a B.A. in French, a B.S. in Business, and "Juris Doctor" for Law, after graduating from the OSU College of Law, now known as the Moritz College of Law.
He began his career working for his father at Coady Construction Company, Inc., until his father's death in 1990. He then became President of his family business for nearly 20 years. Afterwards, he worked for the Public Utilities Commission for the State of Ohio and Volunteered at Holy Family Soup Kitchen and Food Pantry. He also served as an usher at St. Patrick Catholic Church. He enjoyed reading, playing cards and board games with his sons every week. He loved dogs and enjoyed every moment with his childhood dog, Taffy, and later Sean's dog, Drew. He could never understand why his other son, Richard, got a cat . He was a loving father and husband. He cared for his children no matter the circumstance. Before he departed this life, Michael made sure to let all his family know how much he loved them.
The family will receive friends from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 10, Schoedinger Dublin, 5980 Perimeter Dr. Prayers will be offered at 7:30 p.m. followed by the Rosary, with Fr. Stephen Alcott, O.P. Funeral Mass 10 a.m. Friday, Nov. 11, St. Patrick Catholic Church, 280 N. Grant Ave. Columbus, Fr. Paul Marich, O.P. celebrant. Burial to follow on the family plot at St. Joseph Cemetery, 6440 S. High St. Lockbourne, Ohio. A luncheon at the St. Patrick Parish Hall will follow burial.
