Mary B. Fraher Crawford, born in Columbus on May 22, 1922, died Monday, December 13, 2010. Preceded in death by parents Leo J. and Julia Mary Fraher, brother Bill, grandson Peter, and in 1996 by her beloved husband John J. Crawford. Survived by sons, John, Patrick, and Daniel Crawford, and daughters Molly Linville, Ellen Scherer, Ann Collinger and Elizabeth Jennings; 22 grandchildren and 12 great- grandchildren. Graduate St. Joseph Academy. Attended The Ohio State University; active in the Columbus Diocesan Council of Catholic Women, Catholic Interracial Council, Diocesan Council on Justice and Peace, Worthington Democrats, and the Worthington Human Relations Council; past president of the North Central Deanery for the Diocese; elected to the first parish council formed at St. Peter parish; participated in the historic 1963 March for Civil Rights in Washington, D. C. with Dr. Martin Luther King; past president of and actor with the Worthington Community Theatre. Friends may call from 8:30-10 a.m. on Saturday, December 18, in the gathering space at St. Peter Catholic Church, 6899 Smoky Row Rd., Columbus. The St. Peter Lazarus Committee will serve breakfast in the Church's activity room during that time. Funeral Mass will follow at 10 a.m. Burial Resurrection Cemetery, 9571 N.
