Linda Jane Jones Carty, 83, passed peacefully Thursday July 8, 2021 at OSU Hospital East. Preceded in death by husband William J. Carty Sr.; parents Thomas J. and Helen Jones of Martins Ferry, Ohio. Survived by son and daughter-in-law Patrick and Sharon Carty; numerous family and friends in the U.S., Ireland, and Wales, who loved her and will miss her dearly. Also, lifelong friends Richard and Connie Sigler, and Michelle Wiley. Linda graduated from THE Ohio State University, was proud to be a loyal Buckeye alumni, and enjoyed going to home football games whenever she could. Linda retired from Upper Arlington Schools after 30 years of service, where she undoubtedly touched many lives. She loved Spring, and enjoyed tending her herb garden each year. Funeral service Friday, July 16, 10:30 a.m. at Resurrection Cemetery Chapel, 9571 N. High St., Lewis Center, OH 43035. Private burial to follow at the Cemetery.
