Amy McCarthy, born June 8th 1964 in Ashland, Ohio, died January 23, 2011. Survived by husband John of Columbus; mother Ginny Grimm of Ashland; sons Ryan and Connor of Columbus; sisters Lee Ann (Rusty) Yarman and Molly (Phil) Diehm of Ashland; brother Michael (Vicki)Grimm of Sacramento CA; nieces Rachel and Emily Yarman, Nicole and Bailey Diehm, all of Ashland; nephews Christopher Grimm of Sacramento and Matthew Bise of Mansfield, OH. Amy was a nurse for 27 years, most recently serving as an emergency room nurse at Riverside Methodist Hospital in Columbus, and previously as a dialysis nurse. She was a highly respected professional, with many awards and accomplishments, beloved by all in the ER. She had a true passion for the care of her patients. Some of Amy's many passions included her garden, her rabbits, her dog Cali, and her cat Maxine. But her most beloved passion was her family. She always welcomed all who entered her home as family. Her love has touched the hearts of many, and she's left us with some incredible memories. She will never be forgotten, and she will truly never be replaced.
